If you’re feeling low, anxious, overwhelmed, or just not quite yourself, you don’t have to manage it alone. Willesden Medical Centre is here to support your mental health, just as we would any other health concern.
How we can help:
• A confidential conversation with one of our GPs about how you’re feeling
• Advice and, where appropriate, treatment options including medication
• Referral to NHS talking therapies (IAPT) for support with anxiety, depression, stress and more
• Referral to our practice’s mental health practitioner or social prescriber, where available
• Signposting to local and national support services
You don’t need to have a diagnosis or know exactly what’s wrong to get in touch. A good first step is simply telling us how you’ve been feeling — we’ll take it from there.
How to get support
You can contact us via our online consultation form, describing how you’ve been feeling, or call the surgery to speak to our team. If you’d prefer, you can ask for a telephone appointment rather than coming in.
If you need urgent mental health support
If you’re in crisis or need urgent mental health support, you can:
• Call NHS 111 and select the mental health option
• Contact the Samaritans free on 116 123, any time, day or night
• In an emergency, call 999 or go to your nearest A&E
